Blademaster Equipment Heads to the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup

Blademaster is proud to have a variety of equipment heading to the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, taking place August 3–8 in Edmonton, Alberta. 

Participating teams have arranged Blademaster equipment rentals in advance to support their skate-care operations throughout the tournament. Behind the scenes, this equipment will help skate technicians and equipment managers keep players’ skates prepared for practices and games.

Supporting the Work Behind the Tournament

At an international hockey tournament, equipment preparation continues long after players leave the ice. Equipment managers and skate technicians must respond to individual player needs while keeping their team’s equipment organized and ready for a demanding schedule.

Access to professional skate-care equipment on site helps these experienced technicians maintain the sharpening and maintenance processes their teams depend on. The Blademaster equipment has been rented specifically by participating teams and is not available for general public use.

International Under-18 Hockey in Edmonton

The Hlinka Gretzky Cup is an annual international men’s under-18 tournament featuring leading NHL Draft-eligible players. The 2026 tournament will bring together teams from Canada, Czechia, Finland, Germany, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.

Eight countries will compete in preliminary-round games before advancing to the semifinals, medal games and placement games. The tournament offers hockey federations, scouts and fans an early look at emerging international hockey talent.

Blademaster is pleased to participate behind the scenes, supporting the skate technicians and equipment managers responsible for keeping players prepared for the ice.
