Blademaster Rental Equipment Heading to the 2026 U17 World Challenge

Before the puck drops, there’s work to be done behind the scenes. Blademaster is sending rental equipment to the 2026 U17 World Challenge, supporting the equipment preparation that goes into a busy week of international hockey.

The tournament takes place November 1–7 at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville, Ontario. Canada Red and Canada White will compete alongside Czechia, Finland, Sweden and the United States in a six-team showcase of emerging hockey talent.

Supporting the Work Behind the Game

Practices, games and tight turnaround times keep equipment staff busy throughout a tournament. Preparing and maintaining players’ equipment is an essential part of that schedule, with much of the work happening away from the spotlight.

Sending Blademaster rental equipment to the event helps put the tools equipment staff need on site as they prepare for the demands of tournament hockey. We’re pleased to support the people whose attention to detail helps keep players ready to take the ice.

A Stage for Hockey’s Next Generation

The U17 World Challenge marks the first step in Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence, giving young players an opportunity to experience international competition.

We’re looking forward to seeing the next generation compete in Oakville—and to having Blademaster equipment at work behind the scenes.

Best of luck to all participating players, coaches and equipment staff!
