Blademaster Supports Team Canada Deaf Hockey on the Road to the 2027 Deaflympics

Blademaster is proud to support Team Canada Deaf Hockey with a donation of skate sharpening and equipment maintenance equipment as the team prepares for the 2027 Winter Deaflympics in Innsbruck, Austria

Team Canada Deaf Hockey brings together elite Deaf and Hard of Hearing hockey players from across the country, providing athletes with the opportunity to represent Canada on the international stage. The program operates under the supervision of the Canadian Deaf Sports Association (CDSA) and is currently working through an intensive training and preparation cycle leading up to the 2027 Games.

Canada has a long history in Deaflympic ice hockey, including two gold and four silver medals. Following its bronze-medal performance at the 2025 World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships, the program is now focused on its next goal: competing for the podium in Innsbruck.

At Blademaster, we know how important reliable equipment is behind the scenes. Our donation will help support the equipment staff responsible for keeping players' skates and equipment prepared throughout training and competition.

We’re pleased to play a small part in supporting the athletes, coaches and equipment staff representing Canada, and we look forward to following Team Canada Deaf Hockey on the Road to 2027.
